CETREA INTERFACE

Cetrea Surgical is a spin-off company from a research project at Centre for Pervasive Healthcare, at Katrinebjerg in Aarhus, Denmark. The company is working to support the daily workflow in hospitals, using both fixed and mobile technologies. One of Cetrea's products visualizes the calendar and the status of a number of operating rooms. This allows doctors and nurses an opportunity to plan the day's progress in relation to tasks such as anaesthesia, surgical complications, monitoring of patients etc.

Kollision helped Cetrea design a graphical interface for a number of screens, which keep staff updated on the status of different functions. The interface consists of several components that can be pieced together according to the needs of the staff. The components provide access to the monitoring of operating rooms, chat, calendar, patient lists, surgical team, personnel lists, and more. The aim has been to design the components so they can be scaled and combined in countless ways, and still provide a consistent graphic look.

Cetrea used our graphical design as the main inspiration for the first implementation of the system at a new surgical ward at Horsens Hospital. The system runs on 3 touch-sensitive 40 "flat panel displays in full HD, operated solely through the screen. The interface of Cetreas systems are still mainly based on the graphics provided by Kollision.
