In the summer of 2009 Kollision was asked to develop a flash based web component for Cetrea Surgical’s new website. The component is supposed to function as a quick access to videos and descriptions of products targeted at different user groups – nurses, doctors, administrative personal and decision makers.

Seeing that the component only serves as a minor part of the website front page, Kollision developed a concept for navigating an extendable amount of content on a limited screen estate. The concept is that the component displays one of a set of vertically structured pages. Each of these pages is one of a set of horizontally structured content objects. In this way we create a structure that may be extended massively within the overall navigational concept. Transitions between vertical pages and horizontal content objects are designed as sliding animations, emphasizing the spatial structure.

The component is operated through a top-level splash screen that links to pages containing text, images, and video. In this way the component itself could function as an entire website, which can be extended and configured graphically without changing the component itself.
