DCA

In 2013 Kollision was commissioned to develop a web-based platform for DemensCentrum Aarhus – the department within the municipality of Aarhus Denmark, responsible for taking care of citizens with conditions relating to dementia.

A main criterion was to design a platform that could serve both as a tool, a knowledge bank and as a platform for learning and dialogue. When dealing with the many faces of dementia, numerous disciplines, professionals and relatives take part in nursing, supporting and exchanging knowledge on ways to handle the challenges of the disease.

The DCA platform supports clinicians in gathering and reporting data through mobile devices, while being with patients in different contexts. These data can later be distilled, anonymised, and made public for relatives and caregivers to create calls for action as well as create a better understanding of the sometimes irrational behaviour, which is the result of dementia.
