GRAPHIC IDENTITY
In 2001, Kollision was asked by the Ministry of Housing to create a new graphic identity and profile to be used in the Ministry’s external communication in the form of greeting cards.
THE CONCEPT
The aim was to communicate the large varieties of housing chosen by different groups of citizens. In order not to illustrate all walks of life and housing typologies, we chose to use a range of patterns/wallpapers to differentiate various types of housing. By cutting through high-rise buildings you get both the best possible view of people living in the apartments, but also a view of settlements behind the high-rise in the form of detached houses. By using the patterned wallpaper and recognizable elements such as chairs and lamps, we were able to stage the idea of a ‘home’ I various forms.
THE RESULT
We developed a general greeting card that could be adapted to seasons, festivals, etc. as well as a specific Christmas card. Before the project was finished the government closed the Ministry of Housing and the project was never realised.
