KØGE POSTERS
02.05.2007
GETTING ATTENTION
In spring 2007, we created five posters for the Municipality of Køge as an eye catcher for the municipal planning strategy. The objective was to involve local citizens in debating the preliminary phases of the municipality’s planning strategy.
CONCEPT
The idea behind the five posters were to reflect a number of potential challenges the municipality faced in connection with a renewal of the planning strategy, including the merger of Køge and Skovbo municipalities and the municipality's role as an industrial and transport centre in relation to the location near Copenhagen, which also makes the city attractive as a commuter community.
CONTENT
The five posters communicate some of the contradictions that must be accommodated within the municipal boundaries: Idyll and Industry, Pigs and Groundwater, Camping and Café Latte, Museum and Muscles as well as Gardens and High-rises - all be illustrated through collages. The posters were a great success and have even been collector’s items among the citizens.
