ABOUT RUNE

Rune is co-founder and partner. He is an architect and PhD but calls himself interaction designer. He is specialized in interactive exhibitions and media architecture in the shape of engaging and experience oriented large-scale installations.

Rune studied architecture at Aarhus School of Architecture. He worked with virtual online worlds in urban planning, i.e. the projects Karlskrona2 and Wolfsburg2 in collaboration with Superflex. Later Rune was involved in teaching and research projects at Aalborg University, Aarhus School of Architecture and at CAVI (Center for Advanced Visualization and Interaction) and DUL (Center for Digital Urban Living). He has worked with virtual video prototyping and interactive 3D and has a PhD in 'New Use of Interactive Technologies in Spatial Design' from the Department for Information and Media Studies at Aarhus University.

After his PhD he became assistant professor at the Department for Information and Media Studies and was managing and leading the research project Media Facades. He took part in developing interactive building facades and urban spaces, among them the dynamic media facade for the Danish Pavilion at EXPO 2010 in Shanghai in collaboration with BIG and Martin Professional. Furthermore Rune has been designing and leading a series of interactive concepts and strategies together with LEGO.

Rune frequently gives talks about his activities in Kollision and the research projects, which he has been involved in. He is an external examiner at the Aarhus School of Architecture, The IT University of Copenhagen, The Danish Design School and at The Department for Architecture and Design at Aalborg University. And he has been a member of The Danish Art Community (Kunstnersamfundet) since 2006.
