INMEDIO

In 2008 Kollision was part of the team, Inmedio, consisting of C. F. Møller Architects, Cebra Architects, Grontmij | Carl Bro, and BB + GG Arquitectes, competing for the new Urban Mediaspace at the central harbour areas in Aarhus, Denmark. The Inmedio project was based on the idea of ​​an island at the end of Aarhus River, which would become an integral part of the city and yet stood out. SHL Architects won the project in March 2009.

Our main contribution to the project was a number of user scenarios in words and pictures describing the future life in and around the new Urban Mediaspace with a specific focus on how to integrate new media and technologies into the architecture, urban spaces and daily use of the building. We also developed a strategy for citizen involvement, as an integral part of the subsequent process and participated in the overall design discussions of how to solve both the building as well as the surrounding urban spaces.

Our final contribution to the project was the production and editing of a movie presenting the team’s entire project through renderings and scenarios.
