FUTURE COMPETENCIES
In Spring 2011, Kollision worked on the project 'Future competencies for e-citizens’ for the Danish National IT & Telecom Agency. The aim of the project was to uncover whether there was a need for new national guidelines in relation to future competencies to cope in a digitized and globalized world.
CITIZEN PARTICIPATION
During the project, we conducted 75 interviews with citizens from all over Denmark, focusing on what the Danes think that we should be able to do in relation to new media and technology in the future. While Kollision interviewed citizens, Seismonaut conducted interviews with experts, researchers and business people. In June 2011, we invited politicians, public officials, researchers, business people, citizens and other creative minds to a competence camp based on our utopiatyping method. The purpose of the camp was to further develop ideas for what we, as a nation should be able to do to succeed in tomorrow's society with a special focus on the use of new media and technology. At the camp, participants developed job advertisements for fictional companies from a distant future and produced short movies describing how individuals behaved in relation to future public digital services.
INTERACTIVE REPORT
In late June, we launched the interactive report www.hvadskalvikunne.dk, presenting all the interviews with citizens, experts, professionals and researchers as well as the results from the competence camp.
