PROMOTING DANISH HEALTHCARE
In late 2019 Kollision won the competition to develop an interactive visitors' centre about the Danish healthcare system for Healthcare DENMARK. The visitors' centre, Nation of Health, aims at promoting Danish healthcare solutions and life science to international delegations. Healthcare DENMARK is the international gateway to Danish healthcare and life science expertise and innovation. They organize delegation visitor programs for foreign decision-makers and press delegations with an exclusive opportunity to experience innovative Danish solutions in practice.
NEW WAYS OF COMMUNICATING DANISH SOLUTIONS
The visitors' centre can be used for both physical and virtual visits and is designed to create tailor-made communication of the strengths and solutions that are relevant to the specific visiting delegation. Nation of Health makes it possible for the hosts to engage the delegations directly in the interactive experiences and create connections between the guest and Danish products and solutions.
Each delegation has different needs, prerequisites and available time. To accommodate the differences the host can ahead of a visit create bespoke delegation journeys, which allows for varying depth of information and experiences. The host controls the visit from a handheld device and leads the visitors through the centre and a varying number of interactive installations depending on the type of delegation. A visit can thus be designed for one-way communication for the brief visit or for a dialogue based deep dive with host presentations and visitors exploring at their own hand for the extensive visit. Visitors are encouraged to interact and engage via a handheld device, which functions both as a nametag and an interaction device for the visit. Instructional messages are pushed to the device and it enables the visitor to explore in-depth content, pick up digital white papers, contact information for healthcare solutions and businesses, sign up for newsletters, experience Danish healthcare apps, participate in questionnaires, polls and evaluation of the visit and much more.
After the initial greeting and pick up of interaction devices lights are dimmed and the host sets the stage by introducing to the Danish Healthcare system and the global healthcare challenges via a large circular floor projection before moving on to the main presentations. Central to the visit is a large seating arrangement and shelve case furniture which winds up from the ground floor to the first floor. The design serves both as a functional division of the space and as a reference to the classical operating theatre and the snake winding around the Staff of Aesculapius. The seats orient towards a large LED-display for presentations and video call-in from experts in the Danish healthcare system, whereas the shelves have built-in a plethora of interactive touch screens, a hologram along with physical artifacts that can trigger digital content.
