Northside Tower

The tower at Northside Festival is placed at the highest point of the festival grounds creating an obvious meeting point. By lighting the tower from dusk to dawn the tower not only became an internal reference point for the visitors but also a beacon for the entire Northside Festival, visible from large parts of the city of Aarhus.

The tower was 14 meters high and lighted internally by 9 RGB spots, externally by 102 Exterior Pixlines from Martin Professional. Inside the tower a revolving mirror reflected light through the wooden bars of the tower onto the ground below. On the outside the 102 Pixline was controlled by Kollision’s MAP software to create a dynamic and constantly changing expression.

The tower was designed by Northside Festival, light sources was sponsored by Martin Professional, the moving mirror was created by Wahlberg while Kollision handled the lighting design and control of external lights using our MAP software.
