THE PROJECT
In collaboration with artist Jette Gejl and Network for Research Based User Driven Innovation (NfBI) at the Alexandra Institute A / S, we created a project concept and description for an application aimed at the former Authority for Commerce & Construction (EBST) as part of their program for user-driven development.
THE CONCEPT
The project schoolyard 1.0 was a rethinking of the schoolyard with a specific focus on IT-supported playground equipment and experiences to facilitate networking, learning and play aimed at creating new interactive frameworks enabling the children in the physical schoolyard.
THE CASE
As part of the project we worked with a local school, Samsøgade, in Aarhus. Through workshops with the students focusing on their experiences of the schoolyard and their wishes for a future playground, we produced a series of presentations and a prototype of an interactive design game.
